The deadly chase
Angela Elwell Hunt
While continuing her voyage to America, Kimberly encounters not only a deaf girl who attempts to save a baby whale but also a Jewish boy who accepts Christ.

by Peter Hathaway Capstick (1987)
This is about Capstick's return to Africa on a safari led by by Gordon Cundill, probably Africa's premier hunting guide. Having been a professional hunter and prolific writer for many years it reflects his respect for Africa and its wildlife. It opens with both Capstick and Cundill being charged by a very angry lion that survives many direct hits by high powered rifles. It is the best written story about a hunting safari written by a professional hunter. Anyone who has read any of Capstick's book will enjoy this one. It is his last book before his untimely death.

Richard Halliburton
When Richard Halliburton graduated from college, he chose adventure over a career, traveling the world with almost no money. The Royal Road to Romance chronicles what happened as a result, from a breakthrough Matterhorn ascent to being jailed for taking forbidden pictures on Gibraltar. Halliburton’s literary career developed out of his meticulous logging of events that occurred on his own adventures. This book, his first, an account of his travels in 1921–23, was a best-seller for three years and was translated into 15 languages.
