About this book

When Lister got drunk, he really got drunk. After celebrating his birthday with a Monopoly-board pub crawl around London, he came to in a burger bar on one of Saturn's moons, wearing a lady's pink crimplene hat and a pair of yellow fishing waders, with no money and a passport in the name of 'Emily Berkenstein'. Joining the Space Corps seemed a good idea. *Red Dwarf*, a clapped-out spaceship, was bound for Earth. It never made it, leaving Lister as the last remaining member of the human race, three million years from Earth, with only a dead man, a senile computer and a highly evolved cat for company. They begin their journey home. On the way they'll break the Light Barrier. They'll meet Einstein, Archimedes, God and Norman Wisdom...and discover an alternative plane of reality.

Kahless the Unforgettable... For the last fifteen hundred years, the Klingons have revered him as the first Klingon emperor, the legendary warrior who united their people and taught them the meaning of honor. Myths and fables have grown around the memory of Kahless, but the truth of his incredible life has remained a mystery... until now. A clone of the original Kahless now holds the title of emperor. He thinks he knows all there is to know about his mighty ancestor, until the discovery of an ancient scroll throws the ancient stories into doubt and threatens to tear the Klingon Empire apart. Surrounded by treachery and rumors of revolt, he can trust no one—except Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Lieutenant Worf of the USS Enterprise. The ancient scroll reveals an unimagined past where a young Klingon warrior named Kahless risks everything to defy the tyrant Molor. At first Kahless wishes only to preserve his honor and the safety of his loved ones, but times and circumstances push the reluctant rebel leader toward a destiny greater than any he could have ever imagined.... The past collides with the present as the true story of the historical Kahless sparks a battle for control of the entire Klingon Empire. Yet even if Worf and Picard can prevent a civil war, the revelations contained in the scroll ensure that the Klingon Empire—and the rest of the galaxy -- will never be the same.

"Tadeo Raines knows what they say about him. It's all lies. But lies are better than the truth. He broke the rules once and swore he'd never do it again. Now traitors plot against the fleet, and he's tasked with hunting them down and stopping them. Permanently. Tadeo was born to command, born to lead the last remnants of humanity to a new Earth. He knows there's a better world out there: Daylight at the end of humanity's long night. And he's willing to do whatever it takes to get the fleet there. Even if it means walking the line between loyalty and treason. And breaking the rules ... Again."--Page 4 of cover.
